We look after you and your eyes and have been doing so since 1994. We invest in you! Our equipment levels and examinations are designed and modelled around you and delivering the very best clinical care.

We have introduced Podiatry clinics, audiology clinics and secondary care Ophthalmology and Glacuoma clinics and will continue to provide more clinical care packages with our patients in mind.

Thompson and Hardwick Optometrists are at the heart of the Fylde coast eyecare system and will do our best to influence services for our patients and the local community.
What we do
Established in Lytham in 1994 Thompson & Hardwick Optometrists is a truly independent family run optician with a reputation for clinical excellence. Our passion is the care of our patients, that's why we were the first to introduce OCT, Ocular Coherence Tomography, 3D retinal scanning technology to the Fylde coast back in 2009.

Continuing to develop our skills is a linchpin of our philosophy. That's why we are heavily involved in education and secondary care services. Drew Thompson has operated a specialist cornea clinic at Blackpool Victoria for 15 years, 12 of which he did voluntarily. We run Glaucoma and emergency eye care clinics in conjunction with Ophthalmology and are involved with continuing education, having provided professional education internationally.

Unique Eyewear
Constantly in flux our eyewear has to pass just two standards Quality and different. We don't just buy a name we research all our brands to ensure that they pass these two standards and that is important to us.

We even design and commission our own hand made frames that we can confirm are totally unique!

We were one of the very first to incorporate OCT 3D retinal scanning technology to the Fylde coast back in 2009. And we continue to innovate with painless, no-puff eye pressure measuring techniques, 3D printing of bespoke parts, digital corneal mapping and digital mirror dispensing technology.
